Trained at the indoor School in Versailles, the founder in 1830 of a famous indoor school rue Duphot in Paris, the Count of Aure was appointed chief ecuyer in Saumur in 1847. He was especially famous for advocating outdoor riding, encouraging races, hunting and outdoor schoolwork.
